Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation
Global Health Delivery Project
BWH has been awarded a grant through the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to support the Global Health Delivery Project. Under the direction of Executive Director Rebecca Weintraub, MD, the Global Health Delivery Project is a collaboration among BWH, Harvard School of Public Health and Medicine, Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness at Harvard Business School and Partners in Health. The nearly $900,000 grant will be used to develop a range of management tools to support implementation of large-scale HIV prevention programs and their application to other public health efforts globally. The work will build on the Gates Foundation’s $338 million Avahan project, launched in 2003, to expand significantly targeted HIV prevention programs in six states in India. The findings will be shared at events at Harvard Business School, through the International AIDS Society Meeting and at www.GHDonline.org.
