BWH Hosts Mayor Menino, Breaks New Ground in Cardiovascular Care

Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) will host Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino during the ceremonial groundbreaking of the hospital’s new state-of-the-art Carl J. and Ruth Shapiro Cardiovascular Center on Wednesday, October 12, 2005 beginning at 11:30 a.m.
The center represents a new model of patient care that will integrate all aspects of cardiovascular health under one roof. Patients will receive the most advanced and informed care in the country by a team of medical experts devoted to providing the highest level of comprehensive cardiovascular care.
Menino, President of BWH Gary Gottlieb, MD, MBA and BWH leadership will perform the ceremonial groundbreaking with shovels and unveil a 40-foot banner from the cardiovascular center’s site. Refreshments will be served.
