BWH Quit Smoking Program
BWH Quit Smoking Program is a smoking cessation program provided through Brigham and Women's Hospital. BWH Quit Smoking Program services approximately 3,600 patients per year (inpatients and outpatients combined). One third of patients recently enrolled in the program have quit.
The BWH Quit Smoking Program offers group counseling. BWH counselors are committed to working with patients, on a weekly basis, throughout their quitting phase (generally 8 weeks). In addition, there are six and twelve month follow-ups, for the first year, to prevent relapse and to support patients through the beginning of their maintenance phase.
