Radiation Safety Committee

The RSC has overall responsibility for development and recommendation of comprehensive polices and guidelines for the safe use of all sources of radiation including all clinical and research uses of radioactive materials, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation generating devices. As such the RSC is charged with providing general review and audit of radiation safety programs to determine compliance with regulations and licenses issued on the local, state and federal levels. The RSC has the authority to establish minimum initial and ongoing training requirements for users of radiation sources. The RSC also have the authority to review, approve, disapprove and require changes in order to grant approval for any ionizing and non-ionizing radiation use.
