Women's Imaging Fellowship
We are now accepting applications for the 2010-2011 Women's Imaging Fellowship Program.
The Women's Imaging Fellowship focuses on breast imaging and ultrasound with the latter primarily pertaining to women's health. Brigham & Women's high volume clinical services in obstetrics, gynecology, and breast diseases provide a large number of patients, a wide variety of normal and pathologic processes, and respective imaging studies. The three Women's Imaging fellows will spend approximately two thirds of their year spilt between breast imaging and ultrasound. The ultrasound rotations will have a concentration in obstetric and gynecological ultrasound, including exposure to high risk obstetric scanning and interventional procedures. Breast imaging will include screening and diagnostic mammography, ultrasound and breast MRI (at 1.5 and 3 Tesla), as well as interventional breast procedures using all modalities. The remaining one third of the fellowship year will be in the body imaging section, and will include MRI and CT. In addition to the rich clinical experience, fellows will be expected to participate in regularly scheduled multidisciplinary conferences in each section, journal clubs, teaching and clinical research during the fellowship year.
