Technologist Training
The Department of Radiology provides a clinical setting for students of various training programs in medical imaging and the radiologic sciences. Clinical rotations range from six days to five semesters, depending on program objectives.

Radiologic Technology
The Department of Radiology provides a clinical setting for students of several area college-sponsored training programs in the medical imaging field. Participating programs include:
These programs all stipulate and provide for various areas of competancy within the clinical rotations. Furthermore, within these clinical rotations are included some additional sub-rotations to CT, MRI, Pediatric Radiology, Angiography and other related areas. These additional rotations/competancies serve to enhance the student's understanding and appreciation for the profession and the field of radiology.
Ultrasonography
The Ultrasound Section provides a clinical setting for student sonographers from various programs, including
Seattle University and
Middlesex Community College.
Bunker Hill Community College has also developed a program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.

Nuclear Medicine Technology and Radiopharmacy
Clinical experience in Nuclear Medicine and Radiopharmacy training is provided at Brigham and Women's Hospital through
Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS).
Continuing Education Seminars
The Radiology Department sponsors continuing education opportunities for all staff radiographers with Grand Rounds, free or low-cost educational seminars (videotape and online formats), as well as timely notification of suitable outside lectures available within the Boston area. These generally will comply with catagory A CEU requirements.
Technologists are also welcome to attend (at a reduced technologist fee) the Harvard Medical School postgraduate courses in radiology. Program schedules and registration information are available at
