The objective of this laboratory is to assess the usefulness of magnetic resonance techniques based on the use of noble gasses in elucidating physiological states, and to explore the feasibility of developing them into clinically important imaging modalities. To that end, we are engaged in a series of magnetic resonance experiments with hyperpolarized 129Xe and 3He.
