Patient Resources: Nurse Led Education
All our educational programs are taught by nurses currently working in the Center for Reproductive Medicine. Our nurses are specialists in the field of reproductive endocrinology and infertility treatments. We are proud to be the only Metro-Boston fertility center to offer private injection teaching with your nurse.
Powerpoint Presentation
In-vitro Fertilization (IVF) Class(678.0 kb)
This link will provide you with the powerpoint slides for our classes. The powerpoint slides are not intended to be a substitute for class. We have them available here for your review so that you may become more familiar with the material we will cover in class. You may want to print a copy of the slides in note format and bring them with you to the class, so that you may take notes during the class and use them as a guide for your questions. Infertility treatments are complex, therefore the nurses teaching class expect that you will have many questions and are prepared to answer any and all questions that you have.
Following both IVF and Ovulation Induction class, you will meet with your nurse for a hands-on injection training. Your nurse will instruct and demonstrate the proper technique for you and your partner. She will then guide you through a return demonstration of the technique where you will have the opportunity to do an acutal injection. We understand that this aspect of fertility treatment causes most couples a tremendous amount of anxiety and we are committed to providing you with the skills and confidence you need to complete this part of the treatment. We insure that all patients and partners will leave this demonstration competent and confident in their injection skills.
