Laboratory and Specimen Processing
The Center for Clinical Investigation provides Phlebotomy services, Specimen Processing, Routine Lab support, and Research Lab support.
Specimen Processing locations:
Tower-9A/B (open 24hrs/day, 7 days/week)
221 Longwood Ave. (open 7:30am to 4:00pm), PBB A4
Laboratory Resources
Routine Labs will be sent to LabCorp to be analyzed:
LabCorp will pick up samples daily and results will return within 24 hours
Contract allows for uniformity across institutions and lower prices to investigators
Please go to HCCL website or contact Resource Facilitators for applicable costs.
STAT labs (needed in less than 24 hours) will be sent to BWH clinical lab processing
Research Assays will be sent to the HCCL located at 221 Longwood Avenue
Investigator only has to pay for kit costs, all overhead is covered by Harvard Catalyst
Investigators may ask for additional tests to be added to HCCL assay list
