National Postdoc Appreciation Day - September 24, 2010!
BWH ORC Celebrated the first annual National Postdoc Appreciation Day on September 24, 2009, to recognize the significant contribution that postdoctoral scholars make to the U.S. scientific research enterprise and to increase awareness of this contribution. BWH celebrated the day with a Postdoc Pizza Party.
Free Affiliate NPA membership for BWH postdocs!
Brigham and Women's Hospital is a sustaining member of the National Postdoctoral Association, which makes free NPA Affiliate Membership available to BWH postdocs. This includes a subscription to NPA’s quarterly newsletter (Postdocket), its periodic e-mail Alerts (E-Alerts), and access to all members-only content on the NPA website. Enrollment as an affiliate member is based on the use of the e-mail address associated with your institution. Private or personal emails will not be accepted. BWH Postdocs are encouraged to sign up.

2009 NPA ANNUAL MEETING - HOUSTON, TX:
The NPA's 7th Annual Meeting was held on March 27-29, 2009 at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center Conference Facility in Houston, TX. BWH sent two representatives. View the agenda and other meeting details.
2008 NPA ANNUAL MEETING - BOSTON, MA:
Brigham and Women's Hospital was one of the host institutions for the 2008 NPA Annual Meeting which took place in Boston on April 25-27, 2008 at the Conference Center at Harvard Medical School. The meeting was co-sponsored by the consortium of HMS-Affiliated Postdoc Offices including; BWH Office for Research Careers; Children's Hospital Office for Fellowship Training; Dana Farber Cancer Institute Office for Postdoctoral Training and Career Development; HMS/HSDM Office for Postdoctoral Fellows; and MGH Office for Research Career Development.
2007 NPA ANNUAL MEETING - BERKELEY, CA:
BWH sent three representatives to the 2007 NPA Meeting in Berkeley, California; Caroline Rotondi, Administrative Director of the ORC; Juliet Moncaster, PhD and Lorenzo Benatuil, PhD - both BWH postdocs. Dr. Moncaster received a travel award from the NPA. BWH presented a poster, "The Synergistic Model: An Office for Postdoctoral Careers within a Center for Faculty Development and Diversity".
