Office for Research Careers (ORC)

The ORC is pleased to announce that we will facilitate and fund a limited number of business card orders for BWH Postdoctoral research fellows.  Due to limited funding, we cannot commit to providing this service on an on-going basis.  We will make every effort to accommodate all requests.

Please consider allowing other postdocs to partake in this benefit if:

• You are nearing the end of your postdoctoral training.
• You are planning to leave BWH within the year.
• You already have business cards.

Eligibility and Restrictions:

• Each postdoc is eligible for ONE order of business cards only, regardless of his/her length of employment/affiliation with BWH or if he/she change laboratories or locations within BWH.
• Only postdoctoral fellows working in BWH laboratories under the direction of a BWH mentor are eligible for an order of business cards.
• Instructors are not eligible for this program.
  
• Requests will be processed in the order in which they are received.

Instructions:

• Only business phone numbers, pagers and email accounts can be included - no personal cell phones or email accounts.
• Check that you will receive mail at the mailing address you list on the application.  Incorrect addresses may delay or prevent your receipt of your business cards.
• Using the template in the FILLABLE FORM* as a guide, please enter your information EXACTLY as you would like it to appear on your business cards.  USE ALL PROPER AND CORRECT SPELLING, CAPITALIZATION AND PUNCTUATION.  If you have any problems with the form*, contact BWHORC@partners.org.
  
• SAVE AS: "YourLastName_FirstName.pdf"
• Email the attachment from your BWH email account to BWHORC@partners.org.
  
• All information is subject to approval by the ORC.
• A receipt confirmation will be sent to all applicants.
• If you have problems saving the form (after following the instructions below), please print it, scan it and email the PDF to BWHORC@partners.org.
• If you do not have a scanner, please FAX it to 617 525-7752.  Please send and email to alert us that you have faxed it.
  

General Information:

• One box of business cards contains 500 cards, and each box costs approximately $35.
• Approved orders usually take 3 to 4 weeks to fulfill, so please plan accordingly.  We cannot rush a business card order for a postdoc to bring to a meeting.
  
• If you need business cards at times when this program is not open, contact your PI, lab manager or administrator for assistance with ordering via the BWH online system.  The ORC cannot process business cards for postdocs other than when the program is open.
