This course is directed toward basic, translational, and clinical researchers to prepare them for the challenges of establishing their research programs at the BWH. We will discuss how to navigate the BWH/HMS landscape and how to manage a range of issues such as grant applications and expenditures, regulatory environment, mentoring, hiring and managing a work force, difficult situations, technology transfer and commercial relationships, among others. This is an active learning environment: your dynamic participation with a cohort of your colleagues from a range of disciplines is expected. The course co-directors will be joined each week with one of BWH's scientific and clinical leaders, who provide diverse views and mentorship. Select course materials are linked below.
