The Harvard Med-Peds Program participates in the National Resident Match Program (NRMP). The Department of Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital is committed to diversity within its faculty and staff. Invitations for personal interviews, which occur from December through January, are issued only after the applicant’s file is completed and reviewed by members of the Internship Selection Committee. Applications will be handled through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) which is provided by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC). ERAS is a paperless application service that allows you to transmit your residency application, Dean's letter, letters of recommendation, and transcript over the Internet. We will not be mailing out or accepting paper applications. The application deadline for the 2009-2010 application cycle is November 1, 2009. The Internship Selection Committee is composed of the program director(s), training program directors of the sponsoring services, Med-Peds faculty and Med-Peds residents. Invitations for personal interviews are issued only after an applicant's file is completed and reviewed by the Internship Selection Committee. Please note that the residency program will begin sending out invitations to interview after November 1, 2009. Four interns will be matched into the Harvard BWH/CHB Med-Peds Residency.

Interview Day General Information The night prior to each interview day, applicants and their significant others are invited to meet with current residents at a casual reception and dinner. The interview day itself starts at 7 a.m. and ends at approximately 4 p.m.
Foreign Medical School Graduates International medical graduates (IMG) must have ECFMG certification and a completed ERAS file. IMGs should contact the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) for their application materials and eligibility requirements. All applications are judged equally without regard to the nation of medical training. Historically, successful applicants have USMLE scores above 90 and documentation of prior clinical training in the US or Canada.
