 | Gene Bukhman, MD, PhD, is Board-certified in internal medicine and cardiology. As the Director of Cardiology for Partners In Health, he focused on the improvement of services for rheumatic heart disease, cardiomyopathies, and hypertension in rural Rwanda. Dr. Bukhman received his MD and PhD in medical anthropology at the University of Arizona. He completed internal medicine residency at the Brigham and Women's Hospital and cardiology fellowship at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. An instructor in medicine, he works in the echocardiography laboratory and clinical cardiology service of the West Roxbury VA Hospital, and teaches in the Department of Global Health and Social Medicine at Harvard Medical School. |
