Johanna Patricia Daily, M.D., M.S. is an infectious disease specialist who carries out genetic studies of clinical disease and drug resistance in Plasmodium falciparum. Her research recently discovered that parasites analyzed directly from human hosts have a completely novel biologicalstate and may respond to host cues to alter their biology. In addition to basic research Dr. Daily has participated in studying malaria intervention outcomes with GHE resident Dr. Sievers in Rwanda. She completed her infectious disease fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston and attends on Infectious Disease Consult service at the BWH.
