Martin S. Hirsch, MD, a physician at the Massachusetts General Hospital since 1971, received his MD from Johns Hopkins University Medical School in Baltimore, Maryland in 1964. He currently serves as a Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Professor of Immunology and Infectious Diseases at the Harvard School of Public Health. He sits on the Executive Committee for Harvard Medical School’s Division of AIDS, and is Editor-in-Chief of the
Journal of Infectious Diseases. Dr. Hirsch’s main research interests include pathogenesis and therapy of human infections with HIV.
