The Surgery Education Office provides information regarding BWH physician training programs in general surgery and the surgical specialties. We also serve as a resource to medical students on the surgery core clerkship or surgical electives, as well as providing information regarding research opportunities in the Department of Surgery.

Contact Information
If you have any questions, please contact us at 617-732-6861 or surgeryeducation@partners.org. Our office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30-5:00 p.m and we are located at Brigham and Women's Hospital on the ground floor (one floor beneath the Main Pike Level). To reach us from elsewhere in the hospital, head down the Pike to the Carrie Hall Conference Room. When you get to the end of the hallway, take a right into Cardiac Surgery and go down one flight of stairs. Take a left and follow this corridor almost to the end, take a left and go down the stairs. The Surgery Education Office is in room CA-034.
Mission
Our mission is to ensure excellence in the educational programs sponsored by the Department of Surgery. The Education Office is a department-wide resource designed to provide administrative support to the director of the medical student core clerkship and all residency program directors within the Department. We are committed to the development and implementation of a departmental infrastructure for evaluation of resident and student academic performance and faculty teaching, and for monitoring and documentation of other training program requirements identified by the ACGME as essentials of the residency training programs.
