Initiated in 1971 by Dr.Bradford Cannon, the first Chairman of Plastic Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital,the annual Varaztad H. Kazanjian Memorial Lectureship recognizes the seminal work and profound contributions of Dr.Kazanjian. Each year the Plastic Surgery house staff elects a Visiting Professor whose work stands out in the field of Plastic Surgery.The Visiting Professor participates in a two to three day series of lectures,including grand rounds and observation and teaching in the operating room.Rounds sessions and clinical case presentations are always a high-light of the Kazanjian Visiting Professorship.
