Cardiac surgeons in the Heart & Vascular Center at Brigham and Women’s Hospital are known world-wide for their expertise in heart diseases and conditions. Our board certified surgeons are faculty members of Harvard Medical School who are engaged in scientific research to advance patient care. They also train future heart surgeons through our advanced surgical residency and fellowship programs.
Our cardiac surgeons work closely with cardiologists, medical specialists, cardiac anesthesiologists, heart and vascular imaging specialists and award-winning critical care nursing staff within the Shapiro Cardiovascular Center of the Heart & Vascular Center to provide individualized patient care, from diagnostic services, outpatient treatment, in-hospital care, post-discharge ambulatory care to preventative education.
