Research Summary

My recent, clinically based research, quantified the incidence, severity and management of dysphagia following head and neck cancer treatment. I presented and published my findings. I continue to work as part of the head and neck cancer team to prevent, appreciate and manage this problem.

I write an annually updated chapter, External Otitis, in the web site learning based program, Up to Date. This is a frequently visited web site utilized by clinicians to assist with patient care.

I am a co-investigator on several national clinical trials, primarily assessing the efficacy of sequential chemo radiation therapy in the management of advanced head and neck cancer.
