General volunteers must be 16 years of age or older and are asked to make a commitment of four to six months of service. We have approximately 650 general volunteers working in a variety of administrative and clinical departments throughout the hospital. We are currently seeking general volunteers with weekday daytime availability to work in departments such as, but not limited to, the BWH Gift Shop and Patient and Family Relations.
