How to Get Started:
1) Sign up for a MCEP Orientation by sending an email to bwhvcas@partners.org requesting desired orientation date (see MCEP Orientation Schedule). Space is limited and registrations are taken on a first come, first served basis. Email should include the following:
a. MCEP in subject line
b. Your name
c. Contact information (daytime phone number and email address)
d. Preferred orientation date
e. Name of academic institution you attend
2) Once you have scheduled your orientation date and time, secure the following documents that will need to be completed and brought with you to the orientation session:
a. BWH Volunteer Application
b. 2 professional recommendation letters (Volunteer Reference Forms may be used), i.e., from a previous employer, volunteer supervisor, minister. Reference forms may be faxed to our office (617-264-6355) or brought to the MCEP Orientation.
c. Immunization records (Volunteer Medical Screening Form may be completed by your physician; please view both pages of the form for further instruction)
d. Recent TB-test, plant and result (received within the last 90 days)
e. CORI Request Form
f. Blue Card Registration Form
3) Attend entire MCEP Orientation with above mentioned documentation. Also bring with you:
a. Government issued picture ID (Acceptable forms of identification can be found at the end of an I-9 form, which you can view on the following website: http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-9.pdf)
b. Visa information, if applicable
4) Receive clearance from BWH Occupational Health (OSSVS will facilitate this process).
5) Receive BWH ID badge and placement (OSSVS will facilitate this process).
