Recruitment, Retention, and Support

To be a global leader in healthcare, it is essential that our workforce reflects the patients we serve and offers a variety of perspectives. This enables us to develop better solutions to our challenges and deliver higher quality care with better patient outcomes. A workforce with a broad range of skills, experiences, and perspectives is best positioned to innovate, create solutions, provide the highest quality care to all our patients, and ensure that our patients maintain trust and feel confident seeking care from our provider community.

Our Community

We foster a vibrant community of residents, fellows, and faculty and offer innovative career development programs, mentorship programs, and events that promote networking and connection. We aim to foster a workplace culture where our community of faculty and trainees feel welcomed, valued, and respected. The Center for Academic Development & Enrichment also offers formal and informal opportunities for trainees and faculty to build social and professional connections across departments, engage in peer mentorship, and develop leadership skills.

Health Equity Initiatives

The DOM Health Equity Innovation Pilot (HEIP) is our signature program aimed to develop, implement, and evaluate equity projects within the DOM. This innovative health equity pilot grant program serves to advance scholarship related to health equity, increase commitment to advancing health equity within the DOM faculty and trainees, while advancing health equity for our patients and community.
