Meet the Cognitive and Behavioral Neurology Team

We are a multidisciplinary group with specialists in behavioral neurology, neuropsychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, neuropsychology, and social work. Our team is well-positioned to provide patients with the best possible care.

Behavioral Neurology

Focuses on diagnosis and treatment of patients with neurodegenerative diseases and neurobehavioral syndromes that impair cognition and function (e.g., Alzheimer disease, dementia, disorders of cognition, memory attention, and language). Integrates neurologic, medical, and neuropsychological information to formulate a comprehensive treatment plan.

Neuropsychiatry/Geriatric Psychiatry

Evaluates and treats patients with psychiatric and behavioral difficulties due to underlying neurological conditions (e.g., Alzheimer disease, dementia, epilepsy, head injury, stroke, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson’s disease). Develops a comprehensive pharmacologic and behavioral intervention plan.

Provides quantitative assessment of cognitive and psychological functions and compares patient performance against age-appropriate norms. The assessment aids in diagnostic accuracy and the development of treatment plans.
