Researchers in General Obstetrics in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) are involved in numerous research projects aimed at improving obstetric and gynecologic care for women.

Our physicians and scientists investigate a wide variety of gynecologic and obstetric conditions to examine risks, treatments and outcomes associated with these disorders. This allows us to improve diagnosis and treatment methods for our patients.

Primary areas of research in OB/GYN at BWH include reproductive medicine, perinatal research, uterine fibroids, epidemiology, cytogenetics, genital tract biology, gynecological oncology, maternal-fetal medicine and reproductive biology.
