Patient Education, Support and Consent Forms

An important component of the Center for Infertility and Reproductive Surgery is its dedication to patient education – helping to ensure that each patient is an integral part of the care team, providing input and making decisions based on the latest information. We offer numerous resources to help guide you through the process of infertility treatment.

In Vitro Fertilization

Watch the In Vitro Fertilization Class video on what you need to know about IVF and other fertility treatment, including length of treatment, medications, laboratory tests, and procedures.

Private Injection Class

Most infertility medications are given by injection, we understand that this aspect of fertility treatment causes many couples anxiety. You may want to make an appointment to meet with your nurse for hands-on injection training. Your nurse will instruct and demonstrate the proper technique for you and your partner. He or she will then guide you through a return demonstration of the technique where you will have the opportunity to do an actual injection. We are committed to providing you with the skills and confidence you need to complete this part of the treatment.

Emotional Support

At the Center for Infertility and Reproductive Surgery, we understand that fertility treatment may be a stressful time. For this reason, we have two licensed social workers on staff, specializing in infertility issues, to help couples and individuals to manage the emotional issues they may face during the fertility treatment process. You can meet with the social workers individually or attend a support group.

Our Social Work Team

Anne Geoghegan, LICSW, has been practicing for over 25 years. For the past 15 years, she has been working at the Center for Infertility and Reproductive Surgery helping people deal with the emotional aspects of reproductive medicine and endocrinology.

Laura Lubetsky, LICSW, has been practicing for over 25 years. Prior to joining the Center for Infertility and Reproductive Surgery, she worked for Harvard Vanguard and Dana Group Associates where she did extensive work with couples and families.

We have them available here for your review so that you may become more familiar with the material we will cover in class.
