Giant Myomectomy with Hybrid Robotic Technique

The Robot-Assisted Reproductive Surgery program at Brigham and Women’s Hospital pioneered the hybrid laparoscopic/robotic myomectomy technique for large myomata in 2007. This technique combines advanced conventional laparoscopic skills with our robotic surgical platforms, enabling our surgeons to precisely remove very large uterine fibroids and, if necessary, numerous fibroids during one operation.

This historical procedure video of a giant myomectomy with hybrid robotic technique was presented at the World Robotic Symposium in Orlando, FL in April 2010.
