Monica Aurilio, BSN, RN

Monica Aurilio, BSN, RNMonica is a nurse-in-charge for Braunwald Tower 10CD/12B, Neurosciences Intermediate Care, at the Brigham. She has worked overnights for 25 years and has been involved in several wellness and resiliency initiatives for nurses at the Brigham. With a background in business, health and fitness, Monica was inspired to switch gears professionally and become a nurse after seeing the exceptional care a group of nurses provided to one of her family members.

Prior to the pandemic, Monica was working with Brigham sleep health experts to plan resources and offerings for her fellow charge nurses. Monica is a member of the NIC Council.

Charles Czeisler, MD, PhD

Charles Czeisler, MD, PhDDr. Czeisler is chief of the Division of Sleep and Circadian Disorders, and Frank Baldino, Jr., PhD Professor of Sleep Medicine.

A renowned expert in sleep health, Dr. Czeisler has more than 40 years of experience in the field of basic and applied research on human circadian rhythms and sleep-wake function and the impact of sleep loss on vigilance, neurobehavioral performance and health.
