The Center for Clinical Investigation's Biostatistics Consulting Services are available to investigators in the Brigham and Women's and Harvard Medical research community for statistical consulting on issues such as study design and data analysis for manuscripts and grant applications. The Biostatistics Consulting Service is part of the Biostatistics Core of the BWH Center for Clinical Investigation (CCI). Please contact Shelley Hurwitz, PhD to discuss your project; additional information on how to get started with your project can be found here.
We offer design support for pilot projects and grants, as well as advice and education consultations through the Harvard Catalyst Biostatistics Program at no charge. We can assist with data analysis for abstracts, manuscripts, and presentations; these are billed at an hourly rate. Your consultant will give you a time estimate after learning about the project. Historically, abstracts have averaged 15-25 hours, manuscripts have averaged 20-60 hours, and grants have averaged 15-40 hours.
The BWH Biostatistics Consulting Service holds weekly office hours. Reservations are not required, and it is free. Biostatisticians will answer your statistical questions and guide you to more in-depth support. For schedule and location, visit the BWH Events calendar, or check your email for the periodic BWH Center for Clinical Investigation and Biomedical Research Institute Research Connection newsletters.
