Barbara Balestrieri, MD
Assistant Professor of Medicine, Harvard Medical School
Associate Immunologist, Brigham and Women's Hospital

The Balestrieri’s lab focuses on the role of macrophages and phospholipases A2 (PLA2) in allergic and inflammatory disorders. We are currently using a combination of pre-clinical models of pulmonary inflammation, mouse and human cell-culture based assays to identify missing steps in the pathogenesis of asthma and pulmonary inflammation.
