Oral Medicine and Dentistry Research

Clinical research is an important component of the Division’s core mission of providing the highest level of clinical care and continually advancing the field of oral medicine. Research conducted by the Division of Oral Medicine and Dentistry seeks to better understand the diseases and conditions that are diagnosed and managed in the clinic, and to improve patient outcomes. Research areas range from basic science to translational work that potentially brings discoveries from the laboratory to patient care.

If you are a patient of the practice and potentially eligible to participate in clinical research, your doctor will talk with you about your options and answer any questions.
