Hand Procedures

Hand Surgery is a growing sub-specialty of Plastic Surgery and is performed by five faculty members in the division. If your hand is impaired by an acute injury or chronic condition, plastic surgery may improve your condition. Plastic surgery can treat diseases that cause pain and impair the strength, function, and flexibility of your hand, wrist and/or fingers. The goal of surgery is to restore to near normal the function of fingers and hands injured by trauma or to correct abnormalities that were present at birth.

The Division of Plastic Surgery's Hand/Extremity Center performs over 700 procedures each year - supporting the surgical hand or extremity needs of our patients. Five faculty members within the Division specialize in hand and extremity care, supporting the reconstructive, traumatic, and cosmetic needs of our patients.
