D'Ambrosio Named Distinguished CHEST Educator by ACCP


Carolyn D'Ambrosio, MD, MS, FCCP


Carolyn D'Ambrosio, MD, MS, FCCP, director of the Harvard-Brigham and Women's Hospital Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship Program in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, was honored as a Distinguished CHEST Educator by the American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP). Only 4 percent of ACCP members worldwide receive this designation.

The designation recognizes the achievements of members who have made significant and long-term contributions to the design and delivery of education in the field of pulmonary medicine. D’Ambrosio will be honored at the CHEST 2018 Annual Meeting on Oct. 7 in San Antonio, Texas.

In her role at BWH, D’Ambrosio’s clinical interests in women’s lung health include chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, emphysema and sleep-related breathing disorders. Her clinical research focuses on technological aspects of home sleep testing and treatment.

The mission of the American College of Chest Physicians is to champion the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of chest diseases through education, communication, and research.
