Serhan Earns British Pharmacological Society's Gaddum International Prize Lecture Award

Charles Serhan, PhD, DSc

Charles Serhan, PhD, DSc, director of the Center for Experimental Therapeutics and Reperfusion Injury in the Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine, received the Gaddum International Prize Lecture Award from the British Pharmacological Society for his presentation, “Novel Pro-Resolving Lipid Mediators and Mechanisms in the Resolution of Infectious Inflammation & Tissue Regeneration.”

The Gaddum International Lecture was established in 2016 and is a transformation of the Gaddum Memorial Award. The lectureship recognizes international contributions to pharmacology from members or non-members who are not U.K. residents. Serhan is the award program’s inaugural lecturer and was honored at the society’s flagship annual meeting, Pharmacology 2018, held in London in December.

The British Pharmacological Society is a charity with a mission to promote and advance the whole spectrum of pharmacology, leading the way in the research and application of pharmacology around the world.
