Karp Selected as Royal Society of Chemistry Fellow

Jeff Karp, PhD


Jeff Karp, PhD, of the Department of Medicine and the Division of Engineering in Medicine, was named a fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry. This designation, a senior category of membership, recognizes individuals who hold positions of influence in the scientific community and have invaluable experience, expertise and commitment to promoting the value of chemical science.

Karp’s work crosses the fields of drug delivery, medical devices, stem cell therapeutics and tissue adhesives. He serves as a mentor to the next generation of bioengineers working at the forefront of regenerative medicine.

Based in London, the Royal Society of Chemistry was established in 1980 by the merger of The Chemical Society and The Royal Institute of Chemistry. It traces its history to the first meeting of the Chemical Society of London held in 1841.
