Matson Honored by American Organization for Nursing Leadership

Megan Matson, MSN, RN, CCRN-K, CEN


Megan Matson, MSN, RN, CCRN-K, CEN, nursing professional development manager for Critical Care, was named a 2021 Young Professional Voices honoree by the American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL).

The program recognizes nurse leaders who exhibit “significant potential as a health care leader and demonstrate exemplary leadership within their organization, community and the nursing profession and embody innovation, influence and inclusion.”

Matson joined the Brigham Department of Nursing in 2019 after six years at UNC Health Care in Chapel Hill, N.C. There, she held roles including nursing house supervisor and clinical nurse in cardiac intensive care and the Emergency Department.

Matson will be recognized among her fellow Young Professional Voices honorees at the AONL 2021 Annual Conference, in the November/December 2020 issue of VOICE magazine and on the AONL website in November.

As the national professional organization of more than 10,000 nurse leaders, the AONL is the voice of nursing leadership.
