Coppolino Wins 2021 F. Griffith Pearson Teaching Award

Antonio Coppolino, MD, of the Division of Thoracic and Cardiac Surgery, won the division’s 2021 F. Griffith Pearson Teaching Award for his outstanding performance as a role model and educator.

Named after the world-renowned surgeon and teacher F. Griffith Pearson, this annual award recognizes faculty members at the Brigham who exemplify dedication and excellence in medical education.

More broadly at the Brigham, Coppolino serves as director of Ex-Vivo Lung Perfusion in the Lung Transplant Program. His clinical interests include thoracic surgical oncology, end-stage heart and lung disease, mechanical circulatory support, lung and heart transplantation and ex-vivo lung perfusion.
