Shan H. Siddiqi, MD, of the Department of Psychiatry, received a 2022 Klerman Award from the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation for his excellence in clinical research over the last two years. This award is given for exceptional clinical research conducted by early-career researchers who have previously received a Brain & Behavior Research Foundation Young Investigator Grant for innovative research in the field of clinical neuroscience.
The award was established in 1994 by Myrna M. Weissman, PhD, in memory of her late husband, Gerald L. Klerman, MD.
Siddiqi’s research focuses on the relationship between brain circuits and brain stimulation therapies, including the interpretation of brain imaging and brain stimulation data, as well as the innovation and investigation of methods for improving and personalizing treatments for neuropsychiatric disorders.
The Brain & Behavior Research Foundation awards grants that will lead to advances and breakthroughs in scientific research related to mental health.
