Carla B. Monteiro, MSW, LICSW

Monteiro was selected for the MCSW's Commonwealth Heroines Class of 2023 for her extraordinary service to the people of Massachusetts. Each year, the commission partners with state legislators to identify women who make outstanding contributions to their organizations and in their communities but not necessarily making the news.

Lastly, Monteiro received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Cape Verdean Association of Boston for her work during the pandemic and continued leadership and services to the Boston Cape Verdean community.
