Brigham and Women's Hospital Named One of U.S. News & World Report's Best Hospitals

BOSTON – Brigham and Women’s Hospital has been recognized on U.S. News & World Report’s 2018 Best Hospitals Honor Roll, landing at number 20 this year.

“This recognition reflects our relentless commitment to improving the lives of people in need, locally and globally,” said Betsy Nabel, MD, president of Brigham Health. “Each member of our Brigham community plays an important role in the extraordinary care and compassionate moments that make this one of the best hospitals in the nation. Thanks to their efforts, we are a beacon of hope for patients and their loved ones.”

The Brigham also placed in the top 10 in three specialties:

• Fourth for Cancer, in partnership with Dana-Farber Cancer Institute
• Fifth for Rheumatology
• Eighth for Cardiology and Heart Surgery.

Each year, the U.S. News & World Report Honor Roll is determined based on a point system, with points awarded to an institution for meeting certain criteria. Institutions are then ranked according to the number of points they receive. The complete listing of America's Best Hospitals can be found online and will be published in the magazine's August issue as part of its 2018-2019 Best Hospitals guide.
