Ribbon cutting ceremony celebrates upgraded offerings

Brigham and Women’s Harbor Medical Associates announces its grand reopening of MRI services in South Weymouth. The updated MRI suite is equipped with a new, state-of-the-art 1.5T Wide Bore (70 cm) MRI scanner that will enhance image quality and improve the patients’ imaging experience.

The new MRI service in South Weymouth offers expanded hours for patient convenience, provides a more “open” testing feel to reduce patient anxieties, and is staffed by expert Brigham and Women’s technologists. The overhead suite lighting upgrade will enhance the patient experience with optimal comfort. This quality care advancement is another example of Brigham and Women’s Hospital’s commitment to bringing enhanced access to specialty services in the community.

Brigham and Women’s Harbor Medical Associates, South Weymouth, celebrated the grand reopening with a ceremonial ribbon cutting on June 3. In accordance with Brigham Health’s Safe Care Commitment, the ribbon cutting ceremony was held outside with appropriate physical distancing and masks for all attendees.
