Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at Brigham and Women's/Mass General Health Care Center
The Brigham and Women’s Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery program at Brigham and Women’s/Mass General Health Care Center provides comprehensive care, including the latest minimally invasive surgical options, for women with gynecologic conditions such as uterine fibroids, abnormal uterine bleeding, pelvic pain, endometriosis, pelvic organ prolapse, cervical incompetence, and ovarian cysts.
Pre- and post-operative consultations are available at the Health Care Center and less-complex procedures may be performed at the Center’s Day Surgery Unit. Complex procedures are performed at the main campus in the Longwood Medical area.
We strive to provide a safer and more effective alternative to traditional open surgery by performing the vast majority of our procedures via laparoscopy or hysteroscopy. We are leaders in developing innovative minimally invasive procedures that offer our patients:
Early return to normal daily activities
Shorter hospital stay
