About Us

BWH Nutrition and Wellness Hub is for adult men and women of all ages who want to eat, feel and live well. Achieving these things sometimes requires making lifestyle changes.

For most, the first step is to look at the quality of food choices you are making, as these can affect your health, energy levels, and weight. Next, one can look at other lifestyle choices that may be enhanced, like sleep, physical activity and more.

This website offers evidence-informed information for the general population. We recommend you see a dietitian individually who can modify these recommendations according to your clinical needs, as one lifestyle does not fit all!

What are we offering?

We are offering practical advice based on the latest nutrition research that will help you prevent and manage chronic disease while living a full, healthy life. Our information is maintained by an outpatient clinical staff of nutritionists at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA.

All members of our outpatient nutrition staff are Registered Dietitians (RD, a national credential) and Licensed Dietitians/Nutritionists (LD/N, a state credential). Also, two of the RDs are Certified Diabetes Educators (CDE). In addition, some of our practitioners speak Spanish and can counsel patients accordingly. Aside from individual counseling, we are versed on a wide variety of nutritional topics and can speak to groups of individuals. Past topics addressed include chronic disease risk reduction or management (e.g. diabetes, cardiovascular and renal disease), prenatal nutrition, diet strategies for premenstrual syndrome and menopause, psychological aspects of food intake, and popular diets. We are also visible with on-line writing efforts.
