The Massachusetts Nurses Association (MNA) is holding a strike at BWH beginning on July 8. The hospital is open and we will continue to ensure high-quality, safe patient care for the five-day work stoppage. You may notice heavier traffic near the main campus due to picketing, so please consider allowing extra time when traveling to and from appointments. Learn more

Bone Density Service

The BWH Department of Radiology provides Bone Densitometry services at the BWH Ambulatory Care Center in Chestnut Hill and at the BWH/MGH Care Center in Foxborough.

Our technologists and radiologists use state-of-the-art bone density scanners to produce accurate bone mass measurements while focusing on patient safety and comfort. Your spine, hip and perhaps your forearm are scanned to determine if you have osteoporosis.

Your doctor can select the BWH location that is closest to you or that offers the earliest available appointment.
