The orthopaedic trauma research program focuses on orthopaedic quality of care and outcomes research. Our research involves the assessment of patient-reported outcome measures, the investigation of surgical interventions and techniques, and investigation into orthopaedic geriatric outcomes.
Dr. Kang’s clinical research focus is on clinical outcomes in patients requiring surgery for Hip-Spine and Neck-Shoulder Syndromes and his basic science research focus is on novel molecular and stem cell therapies for treating intervertebral disc degeneration.
Dr. Elizabeth Matzkin’s research research focus is on clinical studies that evaluate both the subjective and objective outcomes of surgical and non-surgical interventions, with the goal of improving diagnosis and treatment for musculoskeletal injuries.
