Workforce Development College and Youth Programs

Brigham and Women's Hospital is continuing its longstanding commitment to providing summer employment opportunities in Boston’s Black and Latinx communities, to create jobs for young people.

College Internship Program

The College Summer Internship’s primary organizational objectives are to help students develop a potential pipeline of future skilled health care workers from the communities we serve and offer employees the opportunity to participate in the hospital’s teaching mission.

Our goal had been to place students in departments that coincide with their specific majors in college. Interns will have hands-on experience with creating, executing and mentoring our high school program. Offering college students management and programming skill building.

BWH Youth Summer Program

The Youth Summer Program introduces high school students to the world of work and the dynamic of careers in healthcare. The BWH summer program expands the hospital’s teaching mission, enhances diversity initiatives and supports youth of the community.

Our goal is for the students to gain self-awareness of their talents and career interest, develop positive work habits that will promote their success in the future, and learn new skills which can be brought back to the classroom
