Neurology Clerkship Orientation

Welcome to the Neurology Clerkship rotation at the Brigham and Women's Hospital. Your orientation will be held on the first day of the rotation at the BWH H. Richard Tyler Library.  The first day you will attend morning report at 7:30AM.  Orientation will begin immediately afterward at 8:00AM.   General orientation will last about 45 minutes.  After this you will have a brief review of the neurologic examination.  You will meet your teams on the floors at around 9:30AM.  Prior to orientation we recommend that read about the neuro exam in a physical exam textbook such as Bates.

We will contact you in advance to solicit your preferences for the service you’d like to be on. We will make our best effort to accommodate you.

If you have any issues or questions prior to your rotation, please feel free to contact the Clerkship Program Coordinator, Alison Gorman (amgorman@partners.org), prior to your rotation.   Please make note that the clerkship director Dr. James Stankiewicz needs to approve all special requests for the rotation in advance. These include weekend absences and call night requests. You can email Dr. Stankiewicz at jstankiewicz@partners.org.

We look forward to providing you a wonderful Neurology education experience!
