A Pre-Placed volunteer is a volunteer who has already established a relationship with a department and attained a volunteer placement prior to attending New Volunteer Orientation.
Instead of providing the two letters of recommendation, a pre-placed volunteer will need to obtain a letter from the BWH department supervisor to submit to OSSVS prior to being registered for NVO.
The letter must be written on department letterhead and include the following information:
- A description of the duties the volunteer will be performing
- Volunteer's weekly schedule (days and hours-should be no more than 9 hours per week)
- Volunteer's start date and an end date
