PCA / ESA Orientation

The goal of PCA / ESA orientation is to ensure the successful transition of experienced PCA’s, Nursing Students, Emergency Services Assistants, and newly credentialed PCA’s into practice, and as members of an interdisciplinary team at BWH.  The Orientation provides a forum to introduce PCA’s and ESA's to the resources, role, and documentation that supports their practice at BWH.  This orientation uses evidence-based and innovative teaching strategies to introduce patient safety technology and simulated clinical environments to facilitate transition to the unit based experience.
