Head and Neck Pathology

The Head and Neck Pathology Service of the Division of Surgical Pathology provides comprehensive diagnostic expertise and services relating to the pathology of disorders of the head and neck region including the upper aerodigestive tract and salivary glands. In addition to evaluation by conventional histology, a variety of specialized immunological and molecular tests are routinely available.  The Service provides expert diagnostic interpretation of in-house cases for the Brigham and Women's Hospital and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and also reviews national and international consultations. Active educational initiatives include daily teaching of students, residents, and fellows, as well as programs for continuing medical education.
